Title: Returns Associate

Department: Sales/Customer Service

Location: Laurelton, NY (On-Site)

Salary Range: Salary based on experience ranging from $21 to $25 per hour

Full time, on site, nonexempt hourly, reporting to Senior Manager Customer Service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer credits are processed accurately and timely, deductions are prevented or resolved in a timely manner, and that the appropriate documentation is provided for credit approval or denial.
  • Provide the Returns Analyst with periodic reporting and analysis of return activity.
  • Monitor and minimize return deductions.
  • Maintain deduction level and processing objectives as determined by management.
  • Create and maintain reports to track progress of return deduction resolution and proactively address systems issues which may impact the timely processing of returns.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required by immediate supervisor and/or department head.
  • Requirements:

    Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years experience as a Buyer.
  • Advanced-level technical writing skills and excellent detail orientation skills to develop and revise SOPs for equipment operation and upkeep
  • Must be tech-savvy to troubleshoot equipment
  • Excellent proficiency of MS Excel. Knowledge of QAD
  • Good negotiation skills and business management knowledge
  • Ability to work professionally & ethically within the company and with suppliers
  • Accuracy & speed in computer entry and navigation
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to solve problems with sense of urgency.
