Title: Buyer
Department: Supply Chain
Location: Laurelton, NY (On-Site)
Salary Range: $60k - $80k annual (depending on experience)

This is a fulltime, on-site exempt salaried position. SALARY RANGE IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL!
Previous Generic Pharma or Pharma experience a plus!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing & replenishment of excipients, components & printed materials.
Select sources based upon approved vendor lists.
Ensure that suppliers understand our product specifications, coordinate supplier qualification.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Participate in approving new vendors through sourcing activities to achieve better supply & lower expenses.
Negotiate for best costs & observe quality of purchased materials.
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
Other duties as assigned by Sr. Manager Procurement
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years experience as a Buyer.
Advanced-level technical writing skills and excellent detail orientation skills to develop and revise SOPs for equipment operation and upkeep
Must be tech-savvy to troubleshoot equipment
Excellent proficiency of MS Excel. Knowledge of QAD
Good negotiation skills and business management knowledge
Ability to work professionally & ethically within the company and with suppliers
Accuracy & speed in computer entry and navigation
Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to solve problems with sense of urgency.
